Emoto-Matic is a show conceived and performed by 4 young men, Created by the four performers and supported by exceptional street theatre and production experts, its a show that explores toxic masculinity and society's unbearable expectations for young men to suppress and silence all emotion other than anger. Emoto-Matic centres around a scientist, politician and engineer who have invented a machine that bottles human emotions, turns them in to liquid so you can simply pour them away and rid yourself of those pesky feelings that get in the way of productivity and progression. Through clowning, music, audience interaction and hilarious slapstick comedy, the show takes the audience on a journey through the terrifyingly hilarious outcome of losing one's emotions entirely, and then, to the joy of expressing them fully. Ending in an audience wide disco and celebration of male emotion and affection, this piece is joyful and positive.
